Some moments you never forget. One of them: when SLANDER, one of my absolute idols, reached out to me because they loved my orchestral cover of "Love Is Gone".
From a cover to an official release
I had reimagined "Love Is Gone" in a fully orchestral version, together with a live orchestra. SLANDER discovered the cover and decided to release it officially on their own label Gud Vibrations, together with singer Dylan Matthew. The "Love Is Gone (Orchestral Cover)" came out on 1 January 2021.
What it means to me
For a producer from Upper Austria, landing on the label of an international top act was an absolute honour. It showed me that music made in a small town can reach people all over the world, as long as you believe in your vision.
Still one of my biggest tracks
To this day the orchestral version is one of my most-played songs, with well over 600,000 streams on Spotify. And it laid the foundation for everything that came afterwards with my Greenice Symphonic concerts.
